(Relaxnews) - The Spanish daily El País published on Monday a selection of what it calls the 25 most recommended travel blogs in Spanish. The selection ranges from photography travel blogs to gastronomy, passing through Asian-centered and video bloggers. Here are some of them.
Guias Viajar is one of the most visited travel blogs in Spanish with more than 182,000 visitors a month. The content, mainly practical, includes information on how to plan a trip. Its author, Jose Luis Sarralde, is a former journalist who started the project as a way to tell his tales when he was traveling within the Czech Republic in 2008. Guias Viajar currently has more than 5,540 followers on Twitter and over 2,500 likes on Facebook.
Argentine blogger Jorge Gobbi was one of the pioneers of travel blogging. His site, Blog de Viajes, includes information on destinations and also information on recently released tech gadgets to help improve the traveling experience. Blog de Viajes was selected by Lonely Planet as the Best Spanish Language Blog in 2009. Blog de Viajes has more than 7,000 followers on Tumblr.
El Próximo Viaje by communications expert Maria Victoria Rodriguez talks about traveling and gastronomy among other subjects. Eco traveling and environmental issues are also raised by the author on her blog, which has over 5,173 twitter followers and 2,540 likes on Facebook.
El pachinko, with more than 4,200 followers on Twitter, started in 2008 by authors Pau y Vero. It is one of the most popular travel blogs specializing in Asian travel in Spanish. Because the couple travels with their son Teo, the blog is also a great place to find advice on how to travel with children.
